Barbara Lopez
Barbara Lopez, The Elevator Pitch Coach and President of Brightfarm Introductions, has had the “gift of gab” her whole entire life. In grade school, her progress reports almost always included notes like “could be less chatty”. In junior high and high school her teachers were always rearranging her seat so that she was in the front of the room in an effort to curb her talking with her classmates, but she’d just end up chatting with her teachers!
Barbara and her husband started Brightfarm as a video production company in 2003. In 2005, she began writing commercials for businesses and professionals to use in email marketing, websites, trade shows, and even television. In 2008, she took the same 4-step process she used to write visual commercials and developed it into a process to develop verbal commercials – the elevator pitch!
Barbara believes that everything in business STARTS with a bright introduction. Knowing how to answer the question “What do you do” is crucial not only in the networking process, but also in business building as a whole.
